                        Jerry Capers  
                        - Before starting his own production company, Creative Cultural Productions Inc.  Mr. Capers served as a music theater instructor for one year at The School of Arts in Rochester, NY. He has been recognized for his work with The School of Arts' Music Theater Department.  He is a recipient of The Black and Gold Community Arts Award, Rochester’s annual event honoring outstanding works in performing arts. He has written, directed and produced five original stage plays.
 
 His mission is to utilize his productions and the entertainment medium to advocate for community issues such as injustice and urban violence.  Mr. Capers, debut his highly acclaimed award winning production “KEEP YOUR HEAD UP” in Rochester. The production received excellent reviews.

His talents received major acclaim when he wrote, produced and directed his critically acclaimed production “25 Ta Life: The Betty Tyson Story”
 
As director of Creative Cultural Productions Inc., Capers wrote, directed, and produced back to back sold – out performances in Rochester’s largest theaters. To date he is the only local playwright to achieve such success.

Born and raised in Rochester,  New York,  Mr. Capers has devoted himself to teaching and training others in the arts.  His goal is to identify and nurture talented artists in Rochester and to give them the opportunity to flourish.
